F. Chopin - Etude Op. 10 No. 5 in Gb Major "Black Keys"
Sparkling right-hand figures move above crisp left-hand chords, giving this celebrated etude its playful brilliance. Much of the right-hand writing lies on black keys, but the musical challenge is to keep its rapid motion buoyant and clearly shaped.
A compact, lively recital choice for advanced learners and a useful study of agility, coordination and articulation. Let contrasting dynamics and phrase endings provide variety before increasing speed.
Includes PDF and MusicXML files for solo piano, presenting the individual piece.
Happy playing!
