スティーヴン・フォスター作曲「夢路より」の編曲です。

歌詞は英語です。

本作は、フォスター晩年の作品として知られ、やさしく語りかけるような旋律と、夢幻的でどこか郷愁を誘う雰囲気が特徴です。

静かな夜の情景や、現実と夢のあわいを漂うような世界観は、彼の作品の中でも特に詩情豊かなものとして広く親しまれています。

このアレンジでは、原曲の持つ穏やかで幻想的な雰囲気を大切にしながら、合唱ならではの響きの広がりと新しい和声の美しさを引き出しました。

An arrangement for mixed choir (SATB, Includes occasional divisi passages) and piano.

This is an arrangement of Stephen Foster’s famous song Beautiful Dreamer.

This work is known as one of Foster’s late compositions, characterized by a gently expressive, speech-like melody and a dreamlike atmosphere tinged with a sense of nostalgia.

The serene imagery of a quiet night and its dreamlike atmosphere—hovering between reality and illusion—have made this piece one of the most poetic and beloved among his works.

In this arrangement, the gentle and fantasic (dreamlike) character of the original is carefully preserved, while expanding the richness of choral sonority and introducing new harmonic colors.

Please perform with the image of the choir and piano together unfolding and expanding the musical space.
