👧🏻 Sick of sheet music being inaccurate and unplayable?

Hi, I am Rita. I transcribe piano scores for pop music with minimal technical demand as close to the original as possible. Sheet music for songs have lyrics and harmonic chords on.

😔 Due to the copyright holder's pricing policy, the minimum price of the sheet music is $3.

“NEON” Sheet Music

🎹 A score for solo piano with no significant technical difficulties. Original lyrics and harmony chords are included in the sheet music. Structural parts are separated by a double bar line (‖).

💽 I attached an mp3 file as well.

⚡A twelve-note scale and metered sheet music are not capable to express the sound of “NEON” with its layered vocal and digitally generated inflections. In the genre of EDM, the emphasis is on aspects of rhythm, whereas aspects of harmony or pitch are not that relevant.

🗝️ The track is transcribed in the original key C Minor albeit it has atonal places.

🔠 The chord progression combines Fₘ Cₘ E♭ A♭ Gₘ Dₘ B♭ₘ. This witty progression has several different harmonic loops of four bars each. Interesting that the hook (We are neon...) every time has a new progression.

The choir-like polyphonic chorus in the second part of the song has accurate chord symbols and notation as close to the original sound as possible.

The cyclical chord change (loop) changes on upbeat.

Pedal as little as possible to push the melody forward.

🙅🏼 Avoid learning both hands together; you will fail immediately and abandon the score. Add fingering in dense places. Work on hardest parts more.

🥁 “NEON” is composed with a straight rhythm in the common time. Tempo is 130 beats per minute. The bpm number is high, it is not uncommon for modern music. Last week all songs I transcribed has the BPM 130. Is it a coincidence or a show-business conspiracy? Start learning at half speed.

🖐🏼 The right hand imitates percussive vocal delivery by A20 LITE members.

⏳Focus on precise rhythm in the rap part. Rap is tiring to play with forte touch; play pianissimo.

🤚🏼 The left-hand looks complicated but it consists of recurring patterns. I believe the bass riff is notated as close to the original as possible.

Count out loud at least in the beginning.

Prominence to the bass notes helps the harmonies to make sense.

🎶 Before the coda the ad lib runs on the chorus, so I separated them by adding a measure. I think it sounds nicer than two voices or omitting the ad lib all together.

🔕The notes in brackets should be barely heard.

🏋🏻‍♀️ The song’s aesthetic strength lies in nostalgic outdated sound of the hook.
