Silent night for Christmas, please

서울대병원 응급의학과 전공의를 마치고 전북대병원에서 fellow 과정을 했을 때 작곡했던 곡입니다. 크리스마스는 모두가 기대하는 아름다운 날이지요. 하지만 크리스마스에 응급실 당직이라는 것을 알게 되는 의료진들은 마음의 준비를 합니다. 곧 이어 '나 진료 받으러 왔소 나도 진료 받으러 왔소' 하면서 환자분들이 몰아 닥치고 결국 '나도나도나도나도' 하면서 절정에 이르게 됩니다. 아름다워야 할 크리스마스는 끝나가고 의료진들은 '이제 그만 좀 와요 이제 그만 좀 와요' 하는 심정입니다. '나 진료 받으러 왔소' 와 '이제 그만 좀 와요' 가 같은 멜로디로 되어 있어서 더욱 흥미롭습니다. 제목도 의료진의 심정을 잘 반영하는 것 같습니다.

After I finished my emergency medicine residency at Seoul National University Hospital, I took a fellowship course at Chonbuk National University Hospital. I composed this song at that time. Christmas is a beautiful day that everyone is looking forward to. But the ED staff who find themselves on emergency room duty at Christmas steel their heart. Soon after, patients rush in, saying, "I am here for the care, I am here for the care," and eventually reach its peak, saying, "Me too, me too, me too, me too." The Christmas that must be beautiful is coming to an end, and the ED staff are feeling, "Now please stop coming, now please stop coming." It's even more interesting because "I am here for the care" and "Now please stop coming" have the same melody. The title also seems to reflect well the feelings of the ED staff.
