“Wouldn't You Like?” Sheet Music

🎹 It is a score for solo piano with no significant technical difficulties. Original lyrics and harmony chords are included in the sheet music.

💽 I added an mp3 file as well.

The track is transcribed in the original key, G Minor, and uses extended major and minor chords Gm Cm D E♭. The harmony employs distantly related chord D7. Notice the ellipsis (omitted chords) before each chorus.

I added the spoken vocals on ossia stave in the outro. Don't play it.

I doubled note values to make sightreading easier for beginners. The track isn't recorded in the 2/2 time.

“Wouldn't You Like” is composed with a straight rhythm in common time. Accent strong beats but do it softly.

The left-hand fulfills an accompanying role. Use arpeggiato (𝆃).

The right hand imitates vocal delivery by Jorge Rivera-Herrans: a predominant articulation is staccato.

Pitch inflections (slurred notes) are played quietly.

Don't care about rhythm, use reasonable rubato (free tempo).

There are many spoken places of an indefinite pitch notated on the tonic note G. You can play vibrato where Hermes laughs.

The melody is build to surprise, to attract attention with a rapid flow with sudden changes of direction, expressive pauses, a recitative style.
