ユリウス・フチーク(1872年〜1916年)はチェコの作曲家で、軍楽隊の指揮者でもありました。現在でもチェコでは彼の行進曲が愛国的な音楽として演奏されています。しかし、彼の世界的な名声は、作品68の行進曲「剣闘士の入場」という一曲にかかっており、「雷と炎」
というタイトルも付けられています。またサーカスでピエロの入場のテーマ曲として
世界的に有名です。
原題は、曲全体に半音階を使用していることを反映して "Grande Marche Chromatique"
とされたが、ローマ帝国への個人的関心に基づいてタイトルを変更したものでした。
鍵盤ハーモニカ４台または両手奏2台のアンサンブルにアレンジしました。
それぞれの音のバランスをよく聞いて楽しく弾いて下さい。

Julius Fučík, a Czech composer who lived from 1872 to 1916, was also the conductor of a military band. Even today, his patriotic marches are performed in the Czech Republic. However, his international fame rests on this one famous march, Op. 68, the "Entrance of the Gladiators," originally titled “Thunder and Blaze.” It is a very famous melody that has been used in circuses worldwide. The original title was the "Grande Marche Chromatique" to reflect the use of chromatic scales throughout the piece. It was eventually changed based on his personal interest in the Roman Empire. This piano piece is arranged for 4 hands. Please listen carefully to the balance of each note and enjoy playing it.
